Siempre Reposado undergoes a complex process with ex-whiskey barrel aging for "up to 6 months" and aging in "American oak pipones". It is made using a "50/50 blend of agaves sourced from the valley and highlands." The tequila is lightly colored and has faint agave notes with a hint of pepper and a light buttery and floral character. However, the barrel-aging seems to scrub away the fresher agave notes and replaces them with faint caramel and musty flavors. The alcohol is also more prominent in comparison to the Plata.
