This mashbill was in recommendation from Julian Van Winkle. After tasting some High Wire products, he recommended they make a whiskey using the Old Fitzgerald mashbill (68% Corn, 20% Wheat, 12% Malted Barley). Aged for 7 Years , 107 Proof and comes in an amazing ceramic bottle.

Excellent pour! Must have bottle.

Jimmy Red age 7 years is a pleasant, smooth wheated drinker… I initially thought at 107 proof there was gonna be a little bit more bite to it, but I found the flavor to have just enough complexity to be enjoyable without any lingering burn… So much better than the lower proof wheated bourbons, but not so hot that you can’t enjoy it… And then the unique bottling is the icing on the cake! Sometimes we sacrifice a little bit to buy and support local distilleries, but there is no sacrifice with this bottle! Highly recommend!
