In 2006, Don Julio and his family planted their last agave field. As a tribute to their dedication and skill, a small portion of the harvest was specially distilled and stored away. To safeguard the tequila and its precious agave piñas, a Solera maturation system was applied. It mingles and matures tequilas of various traits, matured in distinctive barrels, while assuring the original agave harvest remains the centerpiece of this uncommon Extra Añejo Tequila.
