MCCONNELLS IRISH WHISKY

I purchased this whiskey mostly on a whim. I was looking for a different Irish whiskey that was not on the shelf. This bottle was presented to me and there was an interesting story to go along with it. I tried my first tasting neat and while a low proof it did offer some subtle fruit flavor which my pallet said was like apricot. I will be using this as a summer mixer there just isn’t enough to this whiskey to stand alone, which for me is most Irish whiskey. The bottle design looks good and the price was acceptable for a whim purchase. It is a welcome addition to my Irish Whiskey shelf.
