Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an award-winning flagship single malt Scotch whisky from the southern coast of Islay. A benchmark expression for heavily peated Scotch, it undergoes a slow distillation in traditional onion-shaped pot stills and an extensive aging process. This deliberate maturation tames the spirit's initial fiery elements, integrating intense peat smoke with maritime salinity and dried fruit sweetness to deliver a highly sophisticated, full-bodied mouthfeel bursting with notes of earthy peat, wood ash, iodine, rich figs, and smoldering marshmallow.
