Never bitter or sharp, Maker's Mark is made with soft red winter wheat, instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that's easy to drink. To ensure consistency, they rotate every barrel by hand and age the bourbon to taste, not time. Each and every bottle of Maker's is still hand-dipped in their signature red wax at the distillery in Loretto, Ky., just like Bill, Sr., would have wanted.

Nuff Said

I am typically a Bourbon drinker and switched to Makers when I.W. Harper went off the market. I was told that Makers was very similar and so I tried it. Here it is over 50 years later and it still is my go to drink. Some of my family are bourbon drinkers but have different taste bud than I but they keep a bottle of Makers for me and others.

My Drink of choice.

I have been Drinking Makers Mark for over 50 years and i still prefer it over other Bourbons. I was Drinking I. W. Harper till I couldn't get it any more. A clerk at my liquor store suggested Makers. It has been my Drink ever since...

Better Bourbon

There are better Bourbon's than Maker's Mark if one wants to sip with friends who are all Bourbon drinkers. There are more and more every day coming from not just Kentucky but across the country. There are even very good Bourbons coming out of small local distilleries. But at 75 years old, my wife and I no longer want to do this kind of tasting. I buy the Maker's to make my wife a really good highball (ginger ale and Bourbon). My wife's favorite drink when she goes out to dinner is a Woodford Reserve whiskey sour. But back to the review. Maker's makes a good, consistent drink and comes in a large bottle so it is perfect for us.

Excellent sipping whiskey

Great tasting sippin whisky. Don’t recommend mixing with anything since it’s good on its own.
