About This Product
The 20th Edition is comprised of 100 barrels filled between October 2011 and January 2012, drawn from multiple floors across four of Heaven Hill’s rickhouse sites. Unlike the multi-mashbill blend of the 19th edition, this milestone release features a single 14-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The barrels matured on the second floor of Rickhouse A, the first and second floors of Rickhouse KK, and the third floors of Rickhouses L and M before being bottled uncut and non-chill filtered. Rather than marrying different whiskey styles, this release utilizes a unique rye backset fermentation technique, integrating the stillage from a previous rye distillation into Heaven Hill's traditional bourbon sour-mash process to naturally elevate its spice and complexity.
